,McCall Life

Surrounded by mountains, hot springs, lakes, and rivers, McCall is a four-season recreational paradise of 2500 people. Skiing, hiking, sailing, waterskiing, rafting, kayaking, and fishing are just a few ways to spend your days. If you are planning a visit, we recommend staying at our sister property, the historic Hotel McCall, located in the heart of downtown on the banks of Payette Lake.

Golf is a favorite McCall pastime, as evidenced by our four area courses, including our own 18-hole course designed by Don Knott, principal of Knott-Brooks-Linn Golf Course Design Group, one of the country’s preeminent course design firms.

The McCall area averages more than 14 feet of snow annually, providing outstanding conditions for skiers, snowboarders, snowmobilers, and other snow enthusiasts. Jug Mountain Ranch is home to great winter trails for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing, and is also located conveniently between the resorts at Brundage Mountain and Tamarack.

Downtown McCall offers a diverse mix of shops, restaurants, and entertainment. The Manchester Ice Centre offers a year-round venue for figure skating, hockey, curling, and more. In addition to festivals and events throughout the year, thousands flock downtown to see the towering snow sculptures, live music, food, and art at the annual McCall Winter Carnival.

When I think ABOUT THE RANCH it reminds me of McCall itself; the abundance of activities and the freedom of doing next to nothing…all depending on your mood.
